Blogging Writers Block

So lately I have been having a really hard time with my blogs. I never know what to write about. When it comes time for me to do them I sit and stare at the blank text box for a while and then decide to do it later. Sometimes during the day I will think of something and be like "I'm definitely going to write about that", but then i forget it when it comes the time to actually do it. When i finally do get my blogs done I feel like I wrote about absolutely nothing!

Does anyone else have this problem? Its definitely the worst!

Surprise, Suprise..

The other day my boyfriend, Jeremy, called me and asked me if I would take a ride with him to Binghamton. He wouldn't tell me why he wanted to go but told me I would like the reason he was taking me there. At first I was skeptical about the whole idea because he is always pulling pranks, but eventually I agreed to go. We drove all the way there to an address that he had printed directions to. When we finally got there he called a woman on the phone who said she would be right out. The surprise was that he had got me a puppy! I was soo excited!!!

The puppy is a Peek-a-Poo, which is a mix between and Pekingese and a Poodle and he is the cutes thing ever! On the car ride home with my new puppy, me and my boyfriend decided to pick a name. I had always joked around saying that if I ever got a puppy that I would name him Flomar because of the movie Martian Child, but he didn't like that. We came up with three names: Bailey, Captain or JD. It took us the full 40 minutes to decide, but we finally agreed on JD. He really does look like a "Jack". I have had him for about 4 days now and I absolutely LOVE him!

Dirty Laundry...

This year I moved into a house of Clayton Ave. When we moved in our land lord told us that our washers and dryers have not come in yet, but they would be in within the week. Two weeks went by and there was still no washer and dryer. For me this was just an annoyance because I am able to do my laundry at my boyfriends house, but for my room ates who work, this was a huge problem. Molly, one of my roommates, works at a restaurant. This meant that she would go to work and be disgusting when she came home. She would need clean clothes the next day for work again.

One day I decided to call my land lord and ask what was going on. He told me that the next day he would bring over a washer and dryer that he had used for one of his other houses. The next day came and still, no washer or dryer. Finally, three days later he came over with checks for us all for $30.00. This made is all feel somewhat better, but it was still an inconvenience to go to the laundry mat. Even today, there is still not washer or dryer. Hopefully we will eventually get one so we can do our laundry on our own time in our own house.

Poor Boys Game

So, this weekend I watched the movie Poor Boys Game. I actually watched it twice because it was so good! The story is about a guy, Donnie Rose, who gets out of prison (he was there for assault). The family and friends of the person that he assaulted are very unhappy that hes out. One of his friends, who is a boxer, challenges Donnie Rose to a boxing match. There are many twists and side stories that make this movie very interesting.

What I didn't like about the movie was that there are some very shocking scenes. It was the first movie that I have ever seen where you see two men being intimate with each other. Other than that, I think that this is one of my favorite movies now. I would definitely recommend it to everyone because it is a really good story, involving love, war, racism and fighting.

Let me know what you guys all think of it if you have seen it or if you decide to watch it!

My Brother.

I have a 14 year old brother named Richie. He is the funniest kid that I have ever met in my entire life. When I say that he is funny I don't mean he tells jokes all the time or anything. Its the stuff that happens to him.

One day he got on the roof of our garage. Im not sure how he managed to get on there but he did. He started to call my dad, who was working around the house, and my dad thought that he was just waving and showing him that he had got up there. He then saw me walk by a window and got my attention. I waved back too thinking the same thing. It turns out that he was stuck on the garage for hours because no one would help him! The funny thing now is that he goes up there all the time, but luckily he learned how to get down.

Another funny thing my brother did was one summer he decided that he wanted to catch bees. He got all dressed up with his friends in winter jackets with boots, hats and scarves covering every part of their body. They went outside with lacrosse sticks and caught bees. He never got stung. Two days later my mom walked in his room. He had been catching the bees and letting them go in his room. There must have been 200 bees!! Im allergic so my parents had to get them out quick. Cant imagine what fun next summer will bring!

Computer Problems

All summer I have been having serious problems with my computer. Over the summer it was hard for me to do the work for my online class because of how slow it was running, but once I was finished with my class I forgot about the problem. Now that I am back at school and I need it, its a problem again.
I saw a flyer on campus for a guy who would come to your house and fix your computer for you. I was so excited when I saw it because I was not really sure how to go about getting it fixed. When I called the guy he told me that he carges $40.00 an hour to come and work on your computer!!! I don't have that kind of money to pay someone to maybe come fix it. I had to find some other way.
My dad thold me he thought my best bet would be to call Dell and see what they say since its a Dell computer. When I finally called the guy told me that he could even help me. We connected through the internet so he had control of my screen and said that it was running so slow there was nothing he could do.
As of now, my computer is pretty much useless. I know once we get further into the school year I will need it more so it needs to be fixed soon.
Any Ideas???

Summer Break

Over the summer I worked at a law firm in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I live 2 hours away from there so I ended up living with my great grandmother who is 95 years old. It was a really good time and I really enjoyed getting to know my great grandmother since I had not really had a chance to growing up. The only thing that was hard to get used to was that she would say whatever was on her mind even if it was rude.

One day I went out to lunch with my cousin (who is a lawyer at the firm I worked at) and my great grandmother. The place we went to was a seafood place and we all got our food. Lunch seemed to be going well. After we were finished with our food our waiter came over to take away our plates and had asked my great grandmother how her meal had been. To my surprise she told the waiter that she hated her mashed potatoes. He looked shocked that she had said that and quickly asked her if she wanted anything in place of it. She replied "no i don't want anything else! my potatoes were horrible!". I was embarrassed at first of the situation that had just occurred, but then I realized. If you live to the age of 95 I guess you earn the right to be rude!
